Donnie has been a dear friend of the family and close friend to dad. We will miss Him dropping by the camp (faithfully) every year. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Dwayne and Andrea.

Donnie was my first cousin and best friend, he spent so much of his childhood at our family farm with Lloyd and I. We went to school in Arnstein and Loring. We went fishing in Seagull with Uncle Roger who became one of Donnies golfing buddies.Donnie was a very solid person, you could always count on him in the family. Our contacts in later years were mostly by telephone but with his distinct voice and humor it was always a great exchanging of memories. I know he served his country well, peace keeping is one of the hardest military posting you can have, expected not to use weapons unless in extreme danger of losing your life but trying to keep peace between two warring sides. don did this very well, many close calls he did not talk about much. I did not know his second name was Duane, but I did know it could not be skunk but he carried his nickname with pride and sense of humor. My thoughts are with his children Andrea and Duane who have lost their loving parents in such a short time and for his best friend Joan, a loving sister who could always count on her brother,to his grandchildren who will always have great stories about their grandparents. you come from good stock and values. One of my last memories of Don was when he brought his mom Adie in to see me in Arnstien, having those two sitting across from me with their amazing blue eyes will never be forgotten by me. cousin Ken simms

Andrea, family and Duane, I am so sorry for the loss of your dad and mom. Your parents were such a wonderful couple. When I would visit my mother (Aunt Florence to them) in Powassan your dad would stop by during hunting season, he always made time for her. We played many card games with them over the years and Donnie was a great story teller. My heart aches for your losses, and I have you all in my thoughts and prayers. We will miss our fishing and hunting buddy but most of all his long stories, sometimes louder than required, but given with total enthusiasm. The Sarg was a regular at the fishing camp, the hunting camp and of course the card table.
Our sincere sympathy to his family for their loss of both a father and a mother in such a short time. He loved his Donna.
