MARTIN (STEELE), Enid (Enna) (nee Walton)

Passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Eastholme, Powassan. She was in her 98th year. Enid Martin, formerly of Port Loring, beloved wife of the late James C. Martin (d. 1994) and the late J. Elmer Steele (d. 1972). Predeceased by her parents Ellen (Patterson) and Edgar Walton, her sisters Ethel Demaine-Skuce (d. 1987), Marjory Metcalfe (d. 1992) and Bertha Dobbs (d. 2008). Loving mother of Janet Steele (d. 2004), Karen Culin (Warren) of North Bay, Roberta Steele of British Columbia and stepchildren Bill Martin (Blanche) of Golden Valley, John Martin (Ann) of Loring, Sharron Busch (Sonny) of North Bay, Jim Martin (Christine) of Port Loring, Bob Martin (d. 2008) (Carole of Bonfield) and Debbie Lamb (Brian) of Commanda Lake. Beloved grandmother of four and great-grandmother of six. Enid attended Powassan Wesleyan Church. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Eastholme for their caring help of Mom. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. A service to celebrate a long life well lived will be conducted by Pastor Dave Johnston at the Powassan Wesleyan Church on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Interment Port Loring Cemetery.
