RICH, Gerald John

With family by his side, Gerald Rich died peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Friday, February 17, 2017. He was in his 83rd year. Gerald was the beloved husband of Lucy Marie (Lagassie) of Powassan. He was the proud and loving father of John, David, Boyd (Jo-Anne), Gloria and Tom Rich, all of Powassan and the late Ben Rich (1964-2011). Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Gerald was predeceased by his sisters Mary Holtz and Kathleen Aultman and by his brothers Francis, Raymond, George and Clarence Rich. Gerald was retired from the North Bay Psychiatric Hospital where he served for over 34 years as a Nursing Assistant. The Rich family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Tuesday, February 21 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. with Vigil Prayers at 8:45 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Church, Powassan on Wednesday, February 22 at 12:00 am. Spring interment Powassan Union Cemetery.
