SABOURIN, Gilbert Leon

Gilbert Sabourin died peacefully with family by his side, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday, September 30, 2016.  He was in his 89th year. Gilbert was the beloved husband of Eunice (Skuce) of Powassan for 67 years. He was the much loved father of Linda Etches (David) of Powassan, Sheri Crowder (Greg) of Eganville, the late Tim Sabourin (1958-1993), and Anna Mote (Gary) of Callander. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren James (Tami), Jason (Kelli), Jennifer, Natalie and Amanda, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Gilbert was the dear brother of Percy Sabourin of Sudbury, the late Lillian Hinchberger, Jean Norman (Orville) of North Bay, and Madeline Champagne (Rheal, deceased) of Windsor. Cremation has taken place. The Sabourin family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 1 – 3 pm followed by a Memorial Service in the chapel at 3 pm.
