WHITTAKER, Janis Mary

Janis died peacefully with her family by her side at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was in her 65th year. Janis was the much loved wife of Ken Whittaker of Powassan. She was the loving mother of Stacey Saucier (Stu) of Barrie and Chad Whittaker (Jessica) of Powassan, and proud Nana of Brady, Jackson, Hayden, Hudson and Hailey.  Janis was the beloved daughter of Irene (Scale) and the late Vince Humphrey, sister of Vinny (Holly) of Callander, and daughter-in-law of Isabel and the late Ken Whittaker, Sr . She will be fondly remembered by many other family and friends. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 445, Callander, on Sunday, January 14th from 1 to 2 pm and a Celebration of Life Service will start at 2 pm, followed by a reception. If anyone wishes to make a donation in Janis’ memory, the Diabetes Foundation is suggested by the family.
