PHILLIPS, Karen Evelyn

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home in Powassan. She was in her 75th year. Karen (Harrison) was predeceased by her husband Glendon Charles “Glen” Phillips (1936-2014). She was the loving mother of Guy Phillips (Teresa) of Powassan, Lynn Heltcher (David) of North Bay, and Wendi Phillips (Michael Dutton) of Guelph. She was the proud grandmother of Brandi Major (Murray), Lindsay Phillips, Jason Heltcher (Alicia), Corey Heltcher (Kayla) and Tristan Dutton, and great-grandmother of Ava, Chase and Alexa Heltcher, Jacob and Jordyn Major. Karen was the dear sister of Eva Young, Perth and Molly Scanga of Norwood and she was predeceased by her brothers Gregan and Frank Harrison. Karen was a retired Eastholme employee and long time member of the Powassan chapter of TOPS. The Phillips family will receive visitors on Monday, October 10, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm at the Paul Funeral Home and on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 from 10 – 11 am at the Powassan Wesleyan Church, 204 Big Bend Avenue, Powassan, followed by the funeral service at 11 am in the church.
