TO all of Laurel's family - we send our sincere sympathy in the loss of your lovely Mother. Only those of us who have lost a good mother can understand such a loss. But when one is suffering, it is almost a relief to know that God has called that person home to Heaven. Laurel was a great Mother & a fantastic person so you will have many grand memories of her. May God be with you all & I really hope that one of the family will pick up the reins & continue her Genealogy success & the Driver Reunions. Take good care of each other as she would do.

Dear Laurel, I am sitting here with saddened heart, thinking of you as I know that your visitation is going on at St. Paul's Church. I wish we could have been there but driving long distances is not that easy for Mervyn any more. As I look at your Obituary picture it is so obvious that you were a beautiful lady but you proved to just as beautiful inside as well. You were a cousin, a schoolmate, & a friend. Grant loved you & needed you on Earth & I guess he needed you in Heaven as well. You have earned you special place with no more pain as you have fulfilled your obligations on Earth. Rest well with your family, my friend & maybe, one day we will meet again. Mervyn & I will never forget you.

In loving memory of my friend, Laurel.

I have only slipped away into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other
That we are still
Call me by my old familiar name
Speak to me in the easy way you always used
Put no difference into your tone
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed
At the little jokes we always enjoyed together
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was
Let it be spoken without effort
Without the ghost of a shadow in it
Life means all that it ever meant
It is the same as it ever was
There is absolute unbroken continuity
What is death but a negligible accident?
Why should I be out of mind
Because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you for an interval
Somewhere very near
Just around the corner
All is well.
Nothing is past; nothing is lost
One brief moment and all will be as it was before
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again!

My deepest and most heartfelt sympathies to all of the family. Laurel was a wonderful, giving woman. She was hurting so much after Grant passed. Now, if the tales are true, they'll be together again. Rest in peace, Laurel.

To Laurel's Family

My deepest sympathies to Laurel's family. It was a real shock to hear of Laurel's passing. I did many years of doing Craig Family Tree research with her, either by mail, phone or email. Laurel was my first contact in researching the Murphy/Craig side of my wife Mary Craig, side of the family, from St. Augustine, Huron County, Ontario. Sometimes when you take your walk of life you meet or come across a very special person. She was one of those persons. So sorry for your loss.
