BEATON, Marilyn Ann (nee Scrivens)

August 9, 1955 to January 6, 2017

Marilyn passed away comfortably with her sisters by her side at North Bay Regional Health Centre in her 62nd year.  Marilyn was the loving daughter of the late Jack and Alice Scrivens of Sundridge. Very special sister to Linda (Malcolm) Murray, John (Janet) Scrivens, Lorraine (Patrick) Miller and Barbara (Alan) Foisy.  Loving aunt to six nephews Joseph, James, Jason, Darren, Christopher, and Gregory; four great nieces and two great nephews. Much loved niece of Ivy Salvage, Eva Richardson and Lorne Scrivens. Marilyn spent most of her adult years in Powassan.  She was a long-time member of TOPS, attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, loved bingo at the Powassan Legion, and was very active in several of the social activities in the community. Visitation will be held at Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Monday from 1 to 2 pm with her funeral service to follow at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel.  If desired, donations can be made to Almaguin Highlands Community Living who have given Marilyn so much support over the years (cheques only please).
