I am so very sorry for your family’s loss and apologize for the lateness of my posting but was only informed of Millie’s passing recently. As a young girl living at my grandparents home on Bridge St in Powasssan I regularly visited Millie at her then house nearby. She allowed me to take the family’s St Bernard dog for walks up and down the driveway. She gave me baby clothes to use for my dolls and invited me in for cookies and milk. She was a kind, funny and caring woman. My memories of her have stayed with me all these 55+years later. God bless and take care of one another.

We are saddened that Millie is gone. She was a wonderful woman and a great neighbour. We will especially remember her cheery smile, apple pies, and her welcome home chats with the neighbourhood kids as they got off the school bus each day. She touched many lives and will be truly missed.

I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Millie several years ago at a high school mini reunion, with her brother Butch. She was such a delight! A couple of years later I invited myself and a friend who was suffering from dementia, to her home for tea and her lovely cookies and cake. We had such fun as her dog chewed up my lottery ticket. (Long story here). Millie was the perfect hostess...full of fun and laughs and warmth...like all the Frederick clan. Gerry I knew well in high school...Millie will be missed by so many!

Dear Colleen, Dan, Tim and all:
My fondest memory of my dear Aunt was her laugh and her sugary voice. She had a warmth about her that just made you feel comfortable and loved. She provided such friendship and caring to my family during our own time of deep sorrow. She took us under her wing like the true Momma that she was. We will always miss her.

I was reflecting today on my aunt, and I am so grateful that she was a part of my life. Her exceptional kindness, her ability to laugh at herself, and her joy are the things I recall most fondly about her. RIP Aunt Millie. You were one of the best.
