It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shannon who died peacefully in his sleep at Kitchener on Friday, April 15, 2016 after a very long and painful battle with Crohn’s and Colitis at the age of 49. Dear partner of Freda Bateman, Beloved father of Max and Zach. Dear son of Nick and Carol Toebes. Dear brother of Scott Toebes (Lisa). Shannon will be missed by his grandmother Pearl Bowes and nephews Dexter and Cole Toebes. Predeceased by his grandfather Doug Bowes and his Opa Jan and Oma Truus Toebes. He will be sadly missed by his dear friends Pam, Jody, Tommy and so many others including his extended family at Howl’s in Kitchener and his fellow employees at Hitachi in Guelph. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Celebration of his Life at the Callander Legion on Saturday, May 14th with doors opening at 1:00 pm, a ceremony at 1:30 pm and gathering to follow from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
