DAVIS, Sydney “Syd” Dale Geraldine

Died unexpectedly, but peacefully, on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at her Port Loring Home in her 75th year. Syd was a former pediatric nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital, North Bay and a retired Port Loring Post Mistress. She was predeceased by her parents Edna (Brooks) and Henry Davis, her sisters Gertie Davis and Dorothy Richardson, and her brothers Dalton and Lawson Davis. She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Audrey Davis of Port Loring, Ivy Odorizzi (Bill) of North Bay, her sisters-in-law Hilda of Trout Creek and Dorothy of Port Loring, and many nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive visitors at the Arnstein Gospel Hall on Saturday from 9 to 11 am. The funeral service will follow at 11 am in the Gospel Hall. Interment will take place at Port Loring Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Sydney to the Sick Children’s Hospital are suggested.
