TOWNSON, T. Ian

Ian Townson died peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. He was in his 85th year. Ian was the beloved husband of Audrey (Dahlseide) of Powassan. He was the much loved father of Dennis Townson (Lise) of Powassan, Karen Bailey (Danny) of Restoule, Heather Etmanski (Dave) of Bracebridge, Garth Townson (Tracy) of Edmonton, AB, Connie Green (Ted) of Huntsville and father-in-law of Teresa Miller of Powassan. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Ian was the dear brother of Barry Townson of Winnipeg, Glen Townson of North Bay and Gail Townson and Elwood Townson, both of Callander. He was predeceased by his brothers Gord, Lyle, Vern, Clive and Stan. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Paul Funeral Home on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm. Interment of ashes at Terrace Lawn Cemetery, North Bay, will occur at a later date.
