SMITH, Walter “George”

George Smith died peacefully, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Sunday, September 27, 2015. He was in his 92nd year. George was the beloved husband of Leta (Clapperton) and much loved father of Carmon (Sharon) and Rick (Susan), all of Loring. He will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Carrie, Donald, Michael, Derek and Lindsay Smith and great-grandchildren Victor, Daniel and Mariah St. Pierre, Jackson and Macy Smith. George was predeceased by his siblings Ernie Smith and Marilyn Penney. The Smith family will receive visitors at the Arnstein Gospel Hall on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The funeral service will take place in the Hall on Thursday, October 1 at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Port Loring Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society are suggested.
