Bernice Pearl (Stephens) Brooks

Bunnie died peacefully on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Nipissing Serenity Hospice at the age of 93 years. She was the beloved wife of the late Hilliard “Doc” Brooks and much loved mother of Dan Brooks (Brenda) and Tony Brooks (Penny) both of Port Loring. She will be lovingly remembered by her granddaughter Lena Roberts (Daniel) of South River. Bunnie is predeceased by her parents William and Alma Stephens and her siblings Ruth Muncaster (Allen), Gertrude Ultscher (Gus), Mary Pratt (Ray), Sister Betty Stephens, Bernard (Boze) Stephens (Gloria) and Shirley Anne Berger (Les). Aunt Bunnie will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Bunnie’s Life will take place Saturday, May 4, 2024 at the Port Loring Legion Hall, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, with a brief service of remembrance at 2:00 pm. The service will be live-streamed (see below). We would like to thank the staff at the Nipissing Serenity Hospice for their outstanding care and kindness to our family.
