Peacefully and on his own terms, Allan Borden died Thursday, October 25, 2018, at his home in Callander, surrounded by family. He was in his 68th year. He was the beloved husband of Judith Ann “Judy” (Barr) of Callander and much-loved father of Robson Bowman (Magaly) of Colombia, the late Keven Borden (1978-2001), Janda Tuplin (Luke) of Stittsville and Laurie Clouthier (Dave) of Callander. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren: Wesley, Rae, Samantha, Lane, Brock, Alison and Borden. Allan was the dear brother of Carolyn Fremlin (Brian) of Sault Ste. Marie and was predeceased by his brothers Earl, Don and Gerry Borden. Cremation has taken place. The Borden family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Monday, October 29, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. and at St. Andrew’s United Church, North Bay on Tuesday, October 30 from 10:00 until the memorial service at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Whyte’s Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbour, at a later date. If desired, memorial donations to MADD Canada or any children’s charity are suggested (cheques only please).
