BLAIS, “Brad” Bradly David
The man who could repair anything, finally found the one thing he couldn’t fix. On Friday, January 3, 2020, Brad died from a stroke, and heart complications. Born April 20, 1974 to Dave and Donna Blais, I believe he also started working that day, and hasn’t stopped since. The smartest man I ever knew; his enormous stock of talents snuck up on you as you got to know him. Math was always his first love, and when matched with his extreme practicality and problem solving skills, you get a born Civil Engineer. We couldn’t possibly be more proud of him for going back to school at age 44. Brad was a dedicated husband and father, first and always – that’s why we gambled on buying The Electronic Playground! We never had enough money, but dreams are cheap, and Brad’s always included a boat, extensive travel, and creating our own alternatives to the tyranny of Hydro. Brad leaves behind two of the most beautiful, strong children: Cira, and Mathis, as well as his best friend, other half, and wife, Blu. Not to mention a hell of a lot of electronic equipment that we are scratching our heads over. He will be sorely missed by his parents David and Donna (nee. Ransom) Blais, and five younger siblings Kerri Blais, Lynn Marshall (Trevor), Derek Blais (Kristy), Chris Blais (Stacy) and Shawn Blais (Jessica). And he will be fondly remembered by an over-whelming number of aunts, uncles and cousins, Grandma Bernice, Grampa Arnie, and his “other mother” Lorna Redwood (Joe), and brother-in-law David Redwood. Family and friends are welcome to gather on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 2 pm for a Celebration of Life Service at Paul Funeral Home, Powassan followed by a reception at the Powassan Legion. Cremation has taken place. If you would like to make a donation in Brad’s memory, the Heart and Stroke Foundation is suggested.
