MATHIAS, Brian Peter

It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Mathias announce his passing on October 17, 2018 at the age of 63, after a valiant battle with cancer. He is survived by his children Krista (Jan) and Dylan; his grandchildren MacKenzie-Lee, Jacob and Arjen; his siblings Gerry (Marguerite), Ron (Jo), Debbie, Raymond (Tammy) and Rick (Patty); and his father-in-law Glenn Barber. Brian is predeceased by his wife Sherry (Barber), his parents Helen (Bester) and Steve Mathias; and his mother-in-law Lorraine Barber. Brian will be sadly missed by his in-laws, and his many nieces and nephews. Brian loved hunting and fishing, he loved to laugh and make everyone around him laugh, and most of all, he deeply loved his family and friends. A celebration of Brian’s life will take place Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the Powassan Sportsplex.
