GALE, Charles Malcolm

Charlie died peacefully at North Bay Regional Hospital on Thursday, May 11, 2017, after a brief battle with cancer. He was in his 85th year. Charlie was the beloved husband of Bernice Elizabeth (Peever) of Powassan and the loving father of the late Michael (1952-2016), Diane Steenburg (Jim) of North Bay, Randy (Rosemary) of Powassan, Paul (Janet) and Jason (Carol) all of North Bay. He was the proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Charlie was the dear brother of Shirley, Joan, Bernice, Theresa, Jimmy, Billy, and was predeceased by siblings Louis, Robbie and Margy. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 with a Royal Canadian Legion Tribute at 7:30 pm. The funeral service will be held at Powassan Wesleyan Church on Tuesday at 11 am. Interment to follow at Powassan Union Cemetery.
