SLATER, David Clayton
David suffered a fatal heart attack while building a new garage on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at his home in Restoule. He was in his 58th year. David was the beloved partner of Dollena Vincent of Restoule and loving father of Tammy Slater (Jesse Chalut) of North Bay, and the proud Papa of Journey Rainne Chalut. David is the dear son of Patricia Joyce (Howard) and the late Allan David Slater, and brother of Wayne and Larry of Orillia, and Randy of North Bay. David was the founder and operator of the successful business, Vending 4 Less (www.vending4less.ca) and also operated Shepherds Country Haven and Rescue (www.shepherdscountryhavenandrescue.com), a rescue and rehabilitation centre for German Shepherd dogs. David’s family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Restoule will follow. If desired, donations are suggested in memory of David to his lifelong passion of German Shepherd rescue and rehabilitation.
