SAUNDERS, Donna Sharon (nee. Barber)

After battling Multiple Sclerosis for over 50 years, Donna died peacefully, surrounded by family, at Eastholme, Powassan on Thursday, February 1, 2018. She was in her 80thyear. Donna was predeceased by her husband William T. Saunders (1933-1990), her parents Hazel (Clark) and Donald Barber, and her siblings Addie Barber, Orville Barber, Eleanor Beatty, and Beth Cross, and brothers-in-law Jim Beatty, Leonard Church, Lloyd Cross, and Evie Stillar. She was the beloved mother of Darlene (Debbie Chipps) of Courtland, Mary Ann (Gerry Meecham) of Corbeil and Robert (Colleen) of North Bay, and the loving grandmother of Tammy (Dylan Peterson), Christina, Chaylene (David Harland) and Kyler, and great-grandmother of Kipton, Aubrey, and Bronson. She wasthe dear sister of Stella Church of Mattawa, Clark Barber (Mae) of Nipissing, Jim Barber of Callander, Brenda Stillar of Powassan and Frank Barber of Nipissing. Also survived by sisters-in-law Ruth, Helen and Phyllis Barber. The family would like to thank the staff of Eastholme for all the love and care they gave to Donna over the last 20 years.
