DESBIENS, DWAYNE JACOB JOSEPH

After a long, courageous battle, Dwayne passed away peacefully, at the age of 35, surrounded by his family and friends at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Dwayne was the devoted father to Dezara Lafont of Callander; youngest son of Rita and Wayne Desbiens; dear brother of Jean-Claude “JC” (Michelle) of Edmonton and Amanda (Joe) of Astorville. He was a special uncle to Tyler, Kyle, Bailey, Joshua, Onyx, Matthew, Calen, Theresa, and Ryan. Grandson to Francis and Mary Straus of Powassan and Marie Dionne of North Bay. Predeceased by his grandfathers Gabriel Desbiens “Gabby” and Danny Dionne. Dwayne was a special nephew of Caroline Reichstein and best friend of Richard Caissie (Kim). Friends and family may gather for a celebration of life at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 2 pm, luncheon to follow. Special thanks to the nurses and doctors of NBRHC. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made towards an education fund for his daughter Dezara.
