CALDWELL, Ian Gordon

After a brief illness, Ian died peacefully at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. He was 78 years old. Ian was the devoted and beloved husband for 47 years of Muriel Elaine (Gibson) of Powassan and proud and loving father of Christine Caldwell of Vittoria, Lee Anne Caldwell of Edmonton, Wendy Caldwell of Calgary, Shannon Caldwell-Williams of Powassan and was predeceased by his son Gordon Caldwell-Ashford. Ian was the loving grandfather of Phillip, Ian, Mikail, Samantha, Joy, Spencer and Kererra. He was the dear brother of Larry Caldwell, Wayne Duquette, Marcel Duquette and Darlene Duquette. Ian was a very sociable farmer in Chisholm for many years. Visitation from 1 to 2 pm on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan with the funeral service to follow at 2 pm. Interment at Boxwell Cemetery, Chisholm. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
