Jan (Wood) died peacefully, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at North Bay Regional Health Centre, surrounded by family. She was in her 76th year. Jan was the beloved wife of Cecil Reid of Powassan. She was the much-loved mother of Michael Wrong of Marlbank, and step-mother of Vicky Reid of Astorville and special grandma of Luke and Megan Reid of North Bay. She is survived by her brother John Wood of Cameron. Jan was also mother to Patti Fisher and Stephen Wrong, stepmother to Kathleen Kemp and Julia Wilkie, and grandmother to several grandchildren. The Reid family extend their sincere gratitude to Drs. Scott Houghton and Mike Leckie, along with the staff of the North Bay Regional Health Centre for all the compassionate care and attention Jan received. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life Service at 11 am and a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place and the interment of Jan’s ashes will be at Holiness Cemetery, Powassan after the reception.
