ROWAN, John Francis “Frank”

Frank Rowan, age 83, died at North Bay Regional Health Centre on October 31, 2018 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on October 6th. Frank was the beloved husband of Viola (Straus) of Alsace Rd. Powassan, and father of seven children; John (Joan), the late Wendy Walton (Raymond), Dan (MaryAnne), Loretta (Bev), Bob, Tracy (Patricia), and Terry (Michelle). Frank will be lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He is survived by nine siblings; Cleta (the late Don Smith), Lenore Smith (Jack), Glenda Brookman (Joe), Raylene Murphy (Tony), Barry (Helen), Mariella (Norman), Michael (Zinnia), Margaret Stuart, and Melanie (Gus), and is predeceased by Brian and Mary. Frank’s ashes will be interred at St. John’s Alsace Cemetery, and his memorial will be held at TJ’s Restaurant in Trout Creek on Saturday November 24th, 2-4pm. Frank was a talented carpenter, wood carver, and musician.
