DAVIS, Lawson Henry

Died peacefully at his home in Port Loring, on Wednesday June 27, 2012. He was in his 88^th year.  Lawson was the beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Dellandrea) of Port Loring and loving father of Jacqueliene Erb (Heinz) of Arnstein, Judy Davis (Randy) of Loring, Steve Davis (Sandra) of Richmond Hill, Phil Davis (Marj) of Powassan, Carrie Whitmell (Joe) of Port Loring, Peni Paxton (Brian) of Astorville, Roxie Brooks (Mervin) of Loring, Henry Davis (Joyce) of Callander and Johnny Davis (Patty) of North Bay. Grandpa will be lovingly remembered by 24 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Lawson was the dear brother of Ivy Odorizzi of North Bay and Audrey, Dalton and Sydney Davis, all of Port Loring. He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Richardson. Lawson was a WWII veteran and made his career in the saw mill industry, retiring from a post with the British Commonwealth Secretariat as the overseer of saw mill construction and training in Dominica.  Family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Port Loring Cemetery on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 3:00 pm.
