BARBER, Margaret Mary

Margaret Barber died peacefully, at Cassellholme, North Bay, on Sunday, August 19, 2018. She was in her 95th year. Margaret (Robertson) was predeceased by her husband Harold Barber (1913-1989). She was the beloved mother of Allan Barber (Mary Lou) of Loring, Blanche Martin (Bill) of Golden Valley and Betty Lou Cotter (the late Wayne) of Nipissing. Grandma will be lovingly remembered by six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Margaret was the dear sister of Gordon Robertson (Edna) of Loring and was predeceased by her siblings Jean Stillar (the late Isaac “Ike”), Beatrice Currie (the late Edgar), Agnes Humphrey (the late Howard), Archie Robertson (the late Joan) and Stewart Robertson (the late Emma). The Barber family will receive visitors at St. Andrew’s United Church on Friday, August 24, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the church on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Port Loring Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s United Church or the Near North Palliative Care Network-Almaguin (cheques only please) are suggested.
