PIPER, Mildred Eileen “Millie”

Peacefully, with family by her side, at Eastholme, Powassan on Tuesday, September 12, 2017. She would have been 85 in two weeks. Millie (Frederick) was predeceased by her husband Edward Horace “Ted” Piper (1933-1994). She was the much loved mother of Dan Piper (Debbie) of Powassan, Tim Piper of Fraser Island, and Colleen Young of Commanda. Grandma will be lovingly remembered by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Millie will be fondly remembered by her ex-son-in-law Kenny Young and by her special niece Linda Draves. She was the dear sister of Dorothy Hutchins of North Bay and Butch Frederick of Alviston and was predeceased by her siblings Ruby, Gerry and infant brother Lloyd. The Piper family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all the excellent and compassionate care Millie received from the staff of Eastholme. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place Monday, September 18 at 11 am at Powassan United Church. Interment will follow at Nipissing Cemetery.
