Pearl L Matthews

MATTHEWS, Pearl L. Pearl Matthews died peacefully in her sleep Friday, September 20, 2019 at Cassellholme at the age of 101. She was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) Matthews of Loring. Mother of Gael Soehner (John) of Elmira; Johnny Matthews of Loring, Carol Anne Hartle (Bob) of Lindsay, and David Matthews (Audrey) of Powassan. Pearl will be remembered by her sister Edna Robertson (Gordon) of Loring. Predeceased by her siblings Violet Gohm, Mabel Brown, Laura Clark, Hazel Gohm, Verla Smart, Bessie Stillar and Stan and Clarence Forshew. She will be lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren (predeceased by her grandsons Johnny and Dustan Matthews) and many great and great-great grandchildren. 

The Matthews family will receive visitors at the St. Andrew’s United Church, Port Loring, on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 2 – 5 pm and on Monday, September 23, from 10 to 11 am followed by the funeral service at 11 am. Interment will follow at the Port Loring Cemetery. Should you wish, memorial donations to the Argyle Volunteer Fire Department or Argyle Nursing Station are suggested.
