Board, Stefan Albert

Stefan died quickly, peacefully, but unexpectedly at his Restoule home, on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, with his loving wife Ann (Traplin) by his side. He was 76 years of age. Stefan and Ann were the long time proprietors of Boards Honey in Restoule, and Stefan was well-known for his versatile welding skills. He was the loving father of Jaimie of Restoule and Merrie-Beth of Golden, B.C., and the proud grandfather of Lukas and Kayden. Stefan was predeceased by his parents Anne Muriel (Hahn) and Harry Kennedy Board, and his siblings Alexander (Eleanor of Oakville) and John (Lillian of Toronto), and survived by his brother Henry (Magda) of Hamilton. Stefan grew up in Hamilton where he married Ann on October 21, 1967 . They moved to work as ski instructors at the former Nipissing Ski Hill, Powassan in 1973 and shortly after bought their home in Restoule, where they raised their family, provided welding services, and began an extensive apiary operation. Stefan continued to enjoy skiing, and sailing, as an active member of the Callander Yacht Club right up until his death. Immediate cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held Friday, December 13 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Paul Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 2 pm.
