HEASMAN, Winona Jean (retired Eastholme/DARE Chef)
After a long period of failing health Winona died surrounded by the love of her family in her North Bay Home on June 30, 2019, at the age of 95. She was predeceased by her husband Robert “Austin”, grandsons Matthew and great-grandson Daniel. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Robert “Bob” (Mary) of Powassan, Fred of Nipissing, Mary (David Peckham) of Victoria Harbour, Betty Dean of North Bay, and Kay McGlennan of Sooke, BC; her grandchildren Connie, Michael, Shelly, Tracy, Chris, Jason, Jeffrey, Joshua, Andrew, Alyssa and Jeremy; her 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Winona was the dear sister of late William Barber (late Florence), late James Barber (late Florence), late Cameron Barber (Lillian of Toronto), late Helen Lawson (late Floyd), Bonnie Shetler (Don) of Athens, AL, Glenn Barber (Marilyn) of North Bay and late Isobel Milne (late Garvin). The families will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Thursday, July 4, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Friday, July 5 from 1 to 2 pm followed by her funeral service at 2 pm. Interment at Nipissing Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Drs. Seguin, Phillipson, Jinnah; NELIHN Lorilee, Lori and Kris; and all of the VON Nurses and PSWs. The family is also indebted to Rose Joly who afforded Mom exceptional care in her final hours.
