BROOKS, Alvin Leslie
Alvin died unexpectedly, at his home in Callander, on Saturday, November 5, 2022. He was 71 years old. Alvin was the beloved husband of Barbara (Bolton) of Callander; father of Angela (Derek Barfitt) of Oshawa and Michael (Allison) of Corbeil; and grandfather of Grace, Rebecca and Isabelle. Alvin was predeceased by his parents Laura (Gohm) and Clarence Brooks and was the dear brother of Norma Currie (the late Lawrence) of Loring, Lynda Glenney (Paul) of Stoney Creek, Pat Fleming (Dick Walters) of Callander, Paul Brooks (Liz) of Callander, Karen Tucker (Bill) of Bear Valley, Sharon Elliott (Graham) of Barrie, Joyce Davis (Henry) of Callander and Brenda Brooks of North Bay. He was predeceased by his siblings Bernice Stillar (the late Sheldon), Raymond (Pat Eades of Whitby) and Ken (Stephanie of Callander). Alvin will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Alvin was retired from a lifelong career with Bell Canada. The Brooks family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Private family interment Port Loring Cemetery.
