CELEBRATION OF LIFE DETAILS UPDATED

The graveside service of the burial of Anita’s ashes will be held in Parklawn Cemetery, Sudbury on Friday, June 21, 2024. Afterwards a Celebration of Life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Weller St., Sudbury, ON from 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Coffee, tea and a light lunch will be available. Cash bar available for those who feel so inclined. She died peacefully at Eastholme, Powassan, on Friday, November 17, 2023 at age 93. Anita was predeceased by her husband Richard (Dick) Carlson and her parents Saimi (Makinen) and Michael Pechkoff. She was the beloved mother of Ken Carlson (Theresa) of Pembroke, Brian Carlson (Wanda) of Calgary, Sandra Carlson (John George) of Powassan and David Carlson of Toronto and will be lovingly remembered by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Anita was the dear sister of Arnie Pechkoff and Aileen Dobratz of Sudbury and Allan Pechkoff of Hanmer. A lifelong resident of Sudbury, Anita volunteered for many years with the 111 Elm Seniors Club and the YMCA Quilting Group.
