Bernard died suddenly, at his home in Chisholm, on Monday, March 23, 2026. He was 82 years old.
Bernard was the beloved husband of Marlene (Mitchell) of Chisholm Township. He was the much-loved father of Kim Cossar and Pam Frederick (Ken), all of Powassan. He will be lovingly remembered by six grandchildren: Christopher (Brittany), Mitchell (Victoria), Marissa, Logan, Spencer (Merethe) and Chelsea (Bella); and three great-grandchildren: Jack, Savannah, and Jameson.
Bernard was the dear brother of John Cossar (Sue) of Chisholm Township and was predeceased by his siblings Garfield Cossar and Marlene Francis.
Bernard was retired from a career as an electrician, mainly working in the mining sector beginning with Jarvis-Clark and then Continuous Mining.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Bernard’s life will take place at a later date.
