STILLAR, Bernice
Bernice Stillar died peacefully, at her home in Callander, on Thursday, June 10, 2021. She was 80 years old. Bernice (Brooks) was predeceased by her husband Sheldon “Sheldie” Stillar (1937-2015). She was the beloved daughter of Laura (Gohm) Brooks of Powassan and the late Clarence Brooks. Bernice was the dear sister of Norma Currie (the late Lawrence) of Loring, Lynda Glenney (Paul) of Stoney Creek, Pat Fleming (Dick Walters) of Callander, Paul Brooks (Liz) of Callander, Alvin Brooks (Barb) of Callander, Karen Tucker (Bill) of Bear Valley, Sharon Elliott (Graham) of Barrie, Joyce Davis (Henry) of Callander and Brenda Brooks of North Bay. She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond (Pat Eades of Whitby) and Ken (Stephanie of Callander). Bernice will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. The Brooks family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 am and 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendance will be limited; masks must be worn, and physical distancing will be strictly enforced. All visitors are welcome, but must call ahead to reserve an attendance time, 705-724-2024. Private graveside service will follow at Loring Community Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations to the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation Renal Care (nbrhc.on.ca) are suggested.
