Betty died peacefully, at Eastholme, Powassan, on Friday, February 21, 2020. She was 96 years old. Betty (Taylor) was predeceased by her husband Douglas Howie (d. 1969). She was the beloved mother of Kenneth Howie of Comox, BC and Margaret McIntyre (Alex) of Powassan. She will be lovingly remembered by three grandchildren: Andrew, Cameron and Alexander; two great-grandchildren: Rebecca and Jacob; and by her niece Patricia Small. Betty was predeceased by her brother David Taylor (late Mary). Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes will occur at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Toronto.
