Brandon Darrah Death Notice

It is with a profound love and heavy heart the family announces the sudden passing of Brandon Alexander Darrah on Monday, June 8, 2026, in Powassan, Ontario, at the young age of 40.

Brandon, a brave and gentle soul who privately lived with mental health challenges, has joined the angels where his spirit will live on among those he loved, those who loved him the most and all who were touched by his beautiful soul.

Brandon was the deeply loved husband and soulmate of Sara Wilson-Larsen of Powassan, and the incredibly proud, devoted father of his daughter, Ava, who was the absolute light of his life.

He was the cherished son of Penny Darrah (Jerome Conrad) of Trout Creek, and Bill Darrah (Sandra) of Emsdale. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Rebecca Darrah (Dave) of Nipissing, and Caitlin Darrah of South River. Brandon will also be fondly remembered by his extended family, close friends, and the community he served.

Brandon was a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) in Powassan, where he poured his heart into caring for developmentally disabled adults. His kindness, patience, and gentle nature left a lasting impact on those he supported and worked alongside.

Cremation has taken place. A service celebrating Brandon’s life will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 11:00 am at Grace Pentecostal Church, Powassan. Doors open at 10:00 am. Reception to follow.

Brandon’s family are endlessly thankful to the many hands and hearts that joined the search over the weekend. To everyone who looked, cared, and supported us, please know that your efforts mean more to our family than words can express.

Should you wish, the family gratefully requests that donations be made to a trust fund being established for his daughter Ava (etransfer: SWilson-Larsen@hotmail.com), or to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) to support suicide prevention and mental health awareness.

"May you find the peace you so selflessly gave to others."
