Brenda Jane Floyd

The family of Brenda Floyd are heartbroken to share the news of her passing on Friday, June 26th, 2026 at Northern Heights Community in North Bay.  She was in her 75th year.

Left to mourn Brenda is her sister and best friend Lynda Floyd-Parks (Michael); her husband Winfred (Wimpy) Lafleur who lovingly called her “Poopers”; her nephews Brad (Leslie) and Brent Price; nieces Kylie (Jordan) and Karah Floyd; and Wimp’s children Cindy, Dennis (Lauren), and Christopher (Lynne).

Brenda was predeceased by her parents Eric and Juanita, and her brother Dellard.  She will be missed by her aunts and uncle, her cousins, and everyone who knew and adored her including special friends Bob and Judy Lyle.

Brenda was known for her green thumb creating the most beautiful lawn and gardens.  Not afraid of hard work, she put everything she had into everything that she did.  Her most favourite thing to do was to spend all day in the kitchen preparing a huge delicious meal for her family.  She loved Christmas and would spend weeks transforming her and Wimp’s beautiful home into a magical holiday wonderland.  Above all, she truly would do anything for those she loved day or night, and always put everyone else’s needs before her own.

Brenda’s family wishes to thank the staff of North Bay Regional Health Centre and Northern Heights Community for looking after her over the last two years.  Although our lives won’t be the same without her, we are relieved her suffering is over.

As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of donations, Brenda’s family asks that you do as she did.  Look after those you love, offer a helping hand when it’s needed, and do something for others without expecting anything in return.
