CHRISTINE JANET (SIMMS) STUART

Christine died peacefully after a brief illness, with family by her side, at Toronto General Hospital on Sunday, May 12, 2024. She was 65 years old. 

Chris (née Simms) was the beloved wife of Phil Stuart for over 34 years. She was the much-loved mother of John Stuart and his wife Jessica of Brantford, Mary-Rose Stuart of Paris and Sara and her husband Kyle Good of Powassan. She will be lovingly remembered by three grandchildren: Jackson Clarke, and Finley and Emelyn Good. 

Chris was predeceased by her parents Hedley and Susan Simms, and her sister Patsy Rowsell. She is survived by her siblings Don (Kathy), Wayne (Cathy), Brian, and Lorna Simms (Brian) and brother-in-law Brian Rowsell. She will also be remembered by her in-laws Ann Lefebvre (Robert), Donna Stuart, Mark Stuart (Jennifer), Mary Anthony (Mark), along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Chris was a former resident of Brantford and employee of Blastech/TF Warren Group. She enjoyed her retirement years in Powassan with her grandbabies. 

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 22, 2024 with visitation from 12:00 and a service at 1:00 pm at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan.
