Carl Allan Haglund

After a two-year battle with cancer, Carl passed peacefully on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at North Bay Regional Health Centre. He was 88 years old. Carl was the beloved husband of Donna (Cotnam) of Powassan. He was predeceased by his parents Esther (Nisfolk) and Victor Haglund; his brother Roy Haglund (late Joan) and his sister Gladys Butler (late Bill). Carl will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Carl was a well-known businessman in Powassan for many years, operating Carl’s Discount Plumbing on Main Street. An avid aviator, Carl logged many, many hours in the sky, flying his light aircraft. He had an equally keen love of motorcycles and boats, and took great pleasure in long trips aboard either. Carl was an enthusiastic Blue Jays fan, attending home games whenever he was able.

Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes at a later date, will take place at Powassan Union Cemetery.
