After a courageous battle with cancer, Charlene passed peacefully at the age of 72, on September 28, 2025 at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay, Ontario.
For over 55 years, Charlene Aultman was the beloved wife of the late David Whitehead (1947-2025) of Arnstein. She was the much-loved mother of Todd (Peggy-Anne) of Arnstein, Christine (Casey) of Port Loring, Jody of Loring. She will be lovingly remembered by daughter-in-law Jennifer Whitehead and eight grandchildren: Brody, Briar (Ashley), Brady (Sandi), Rebecca, Denver, Carson, Joey, Wyatt and two great-grandchildren Remington and her namesake Benelli Charlene.
Charlene was predeceased by her parents Dolores “Dolly” (DeQuesnay) (1924-2010) and Joseph Aultman (1923-2021). She was the dear sister of Gerald (Karen) of Callander, Phyllis Young (Rick) of Callander, and Peter (Debbie) of Powassan.
Charlene was predeceased by her parents-in-law Olive (Cheaney) and Ervin Whitehead. She was the dear sister-in-law of Margie Currie (the late John) of Toronto, Eleanor Culin (Butch) of Sault Ste. Marie, Roland Whitehead of Arnstein, Nancy Bussey (Barry) of Loring, Joline McCauley (Gerry) of Arnstein, Laurie Virag (the late Richard) of Trout Creek and Peggy Whitehead of Arnstein. Charlene was predeceased by her sister-in-law Debbie Ball (David, deceased).
She will be warmly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Charlene was active with David in the MNR Deer Feeding Program in the Argyle area. She was good with animals and quick with a smile.
As per Charlene’s wish, cremation has taken place. Her family will celebrate her life privately.
