GIESLER, Charles Bernard “Carl”

After a brief period of failing health, Carl Giesler died peacefully with family by his side on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre. He was in his 88th year. Carl was predeceased by his wife Doreen Mary (Rennette) and his parents Rose (Rennette) and Bernard Giesler. He was the proud and loving father of Laura Rainer, North Bay; Karen Giesler, North Bay; Linda Penney (Bernard), Powassan; Cyn (Tim Young), Powassan; Rob Giesler (Cathy), Powassan; Tim Giesler, North Bay. He will be lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren. Carl was the dear brother of Joe Giesler (Bernadette) of Powassan; Willie (Verna) of Powassan; Pat of Ottawa and was predeceased by his siblings Madeline Weiler, Gertrude Gallow, and Peter Giesler. Carly spent a lifetime building boats at Powassan Boat Works. Carl’s family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 am. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery will follow.
