HUMMEL, Cloyd Vincent
Cloyd Hummel died peacefully after a long battle with Leukemia at Cassellholme, North Bay, on Sunday, July 10, 2022, just two days after his 84th birthday. Cloyd was the much-loved father of Terry Lynn Rick of Newmarket, Ted (Tammi) of Trout Creek, Jewel (Brendon) of Powassan and Dawn Hummel (Jay) of Barrie. He will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren: Tyson, Tianna, Rachel, Erin, Jamie, Jude and Charlie. Cloyd was the dear brother of Willard Hummel (Marie) and Margaret Van Mierlo (the late Bernard), all of Trout Creek. He was predeceased by his siblings Rose Grasser (the late Bill), Clarence Hummel, Eleanor Oshell-Duncan (the late Joe Oshell and the late Harry Duncan), Greg Hummel (the late Grace), Jerome Hummel, Lawrence Hummel, Florence Hewitt (the late Bill), Bernice Brunne (the late Harry), Gloria Stephens (the late Bernard), and Cletus Hummel (the late Joan). For many years Cloyd was a truck driver/deliveryman with Aunt May’s Bakery making daily deliveries from North Bay to Burks Falls and west to Port Loring. He loved his family, live music, parties and a good laugh. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2 pm, followed by a casual “celebration of life gathering” from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Trout Creek Community Centre.
