NIELEN, Dan John

Dan Nielen died unexpectedly, at his home in Nipissing, on Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was 65 years old. Dan was the much-loved husband of Rachel Thoo of Nipissing; Stepfather of Khadija Coxon of Toronto and Jesse Thoo (Alexis) of Merritt, BC; Loving Grumpa of Nahanni, Nico and Nova; Son of Paula (Sanders) of Ottawa and the late Gerardus Nielen; Brother of Guy Nielen (Maja) and David Nielen (Sue) and uncle of Adam, Verity, Fiona and Tori. Dan was retired from a career as a draftsman in building construction in Toronto, and was a talented keyboardist and an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Dan’s life will be announced at a later date.
