With heavy hearts, we share that Diane Rose Stone (née Moore) passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025, at the age of 75, following complications from Alzheimer’s disease, with her family by her side.
Born in North Bay, Ontario, Diane was the daughter of Clinton Moore and Marie Emelie (née Smith) and stepmother Ann (née Yeates). She was a beloved wife to her late husband Donald Stone, a devoted mother to David (Charlotte) and Darlene Aro (Justin) and a proud grandmother to Olivia, Owen, Nolan, Kohen, and Kip.
Diane was the dear sister of Clint Moore Jr. (deceased), Eleanor Portuguese-Larochelle (deceased), Eddie Moore (deceased) (Linda), Gary Moore (deceased) (Linda), Donald Moore (deceased), Gordon Moore (Maria), Beverly Schmidt (Willy), and Shawn Moore (Cindy). Her step-siblings — Grenville Ringuette, Nancy Tremblay (Frank), Jeannine Lebel (late Rheal), Noella Chandler (Wayne), Joanne Hynd, Leola Wildman (Bob), Roger Ringuette (deceased), and Debbie Park (Harley) — also held a special place in her heart.
Diane’s warmth, kindness and friendliness left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, step-family, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many treasured friends.
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the nursing staff at Eastholme for their care and compassion during Diane’s final years.
If so desired, memorial donations to the Callander Bay Heritage Museum would be appreciated by the family.
