CELEBRATION OF ED'S LIFE WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, APRIL 2, 2022 AT THE POWASSAN LEGION. SEE TIMES BELOW.

Ed Smith died peacefully, with family by his side, at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay, on Thursday, January 6, 2022. He was 66 years old. Ed was the loving husband of Deborah (McKenna) of Powassan. He was the proud father of Amanda Hurrell of Powassan and Michael Smith (Jamie Cornelius) of Kitchener, and cherished his granddaughter, Ava. Ed was retired from a long career with Erb Transport. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ed’s life will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at the Powassan Legion. Gathering from 1:00 to 2:00. Service at 2:00 and will be live-streamed (click below to view). Reception will follow from 2:30 to 4:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Nipissing Serenity Hospice are suggested.
