MILLER, Elsie Ruth

Elsie (Phillips) passed away peacefully at the Algonquin Grace Huntsville Hospice, with family by her side, on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, in her 90th year. Elsie was the beloved wife of Jack Leroy Miller, having just celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on May 16, 2022. She was the loving mother of Trish Moussa (Simon) of Powassan, Kim Ralph (Allan) of Dwight and Mike Miller (Pam) of Markham; and proud grandmother of Shawn (Aide), Kris (Emily), Jamie, Tyler (Miranda), Garrett, Audrey, Finley and Sullivan. Elsie was born in Arnstein, the sixth of eight children of the late Martha Marie (Hampel) and Rudolph James Phillips. She was the dear sister of the late Mildred, Ernest, Tom, Jack and survived by sisters Rosalie of Woodstock, Allie of Chatham and Anne of Beaverton.

After a full career at Kodak in Toronto, Elsie and Jack retired to North Bay where they divided the next 30 years between Lake Nipissing and their cottage on LeGrous Lake, Arnstein.

The Miller family would like to extend sincere gratitude to all the health professionals who rallied to support Elsie in her last days at Huntsville Memorial Hospital and Algonquin Grace Huntsville Hospice.

The Miller family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan (531 Main Street) on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 1:30 pm until the time of funeral service of 2:30 pm. Private interment (immediate family only) will follow at Arnstein Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Elsie to Algonquin Grace Huntsville Hospice are suggested.
