Eric Johnston Currie

Eric passed peacefully, after a brief illness, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at Belvedere Heights Retirement Home, Parry Sound. He was 86 years old. Eric was the beloved father of Norman (Sonya Neufeld); Grandfather of Mercedes, Jacob, Brendon (Courtney), Dallas (McKenna) and Britney; and great-grandfather of Sena Rose, Colt and Ayla.

He was predeceased by his wife Martha (Kirk) (1939-2021); his daughter Marina (1960-2023; and his parents Bessie (Cotter) and Johnston Currie.

Eric was the dear brother of Janice MacDonald (Everett), Dale Slinn, Larry (Cathy), and Aaron (Kathleen).

The Currie family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 11:00 am to 12:00 noon. The funeral service will begin at noon, followed by a reception.
