BROWN, Ethel Isabel

Ethel died peacefully, with family by her side, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Friday, May 12, 2023. She was 73 years old. Ethel was the beloved wife of John Brown of Trout Creek and the cherished mother of Darwin Dunn (Tammy-Lynn) of South River.  She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Riley and Erika Dunn. Ethel was the dear sister of Evelyn Hurrell of Trout Creek, Shirley Labrecque of Astorville, Sheila Green of Burk’s Falls and Gilbert Amell of North Bay she was predeceased by her parents Lillian (Jones) and Herman Amell and her siblings Howard, Angeline and Diane. Ethel was retired from a long career at Powassan Pro Hardware/Home Hardware. She was an expert in auto parts, having started working at an early age for her brother at Amell’s Garage. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 24, 2023, Powassan Union Cemetery.
