Ferne Arlene (Moore) Odorizzi

As softly as she walked on this earth, Ferne passed peacefully, at Miramichi Lodge, Pembroke on Wednesday, July 9, 2025. She was 96 years old.

Ferne (Moore) was predeceased by her husband Donald Odorizzi (1930-2018).

Ferne was the beloved mother of Gregg Odorizzi (Susan) of North Bay; grandmother of their children Curtis (Jenni) and Carrie and great-grandmother of Curtis and Jenni’s daughter Mira; and Terry Odorizzi (Lisa) of Pembroke, and grandmother of their son Kameron (Kirsten).

Ferne was predeceased by her parents Hazel (Clapperton) and Wendell Moore and by her brother Romer Moore. She is survived by her brothers Aldon Moore (Marlene) of Golden Valley, Wayne Moore (Lenni) of Guelph and Wendell Moore (Darlene) of Golden Valley.

Ferne was a true lady, epitomizing grace and gentility. She ran her home and raised the boys while Don built their business Odorizzi Lumber. After his retirement, the couple indulged their love of travel and were fortunate to see much of the world.

Friends and relatives will be received on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan. The funeral service will take place at St. Paul’s United Church, Golden Valley on Friday, July 18 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Golden Valley Cemetery.
