After a courageous battle with health issues, Frances passed peacefully at the age of 80, on October 3rd, 2025 at Nipissing Serenity Hospice, North Bay, Ontario.
For over 62 years Frances (McCully) was the beloved wife of Roy Gordon Warriner of Trout Creek, formerly of Blenheim. She was the much-loved mother of Jacqueline “Jackee” Ann Groenewegen (Paul) of Sundre, AB, and Scott Gordon Warriner of Blenheim. She will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Brock, Shannon, Cassandra, Austin and great-grandchild Wren.
Frances was predeceased by her parents Albert Hugh McCully and Daisy Myrtle (Tye), and her brother Kenneth C. McCully (the late Mary Jane), and grandson Troy. She is survived by her sister Doris J. Jefferies (the late “Jerry”) of Rochester Hills, Michigan.
Frances and Roy farmed in Blenheim all their lives until retiring in 2002 to Trout Creek, Ontario. Frances was an active member of the Trout Creek United Church and the Trout Creek Seniors Friendship Centre where she was instrumental in setting up a quilting club, as well as obtaining and operating a quilting machine for the club.
The Warriner family will receive visitors at the Trout Creek Seniors Friendship Centre on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
Then on Saturday, October 18, 2025, visitors will be welcomed at McKinlay Funeral Home, Blenheim, Ontario from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.
Private graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
If desired, donations in memory of Frances to the Trout Creek United Church or the Trout Creek Seniors' Friendship Centre are suggested.
